We offer several styles of post caps. Our SNAP-Cap fence post caps are made from Our own proprietary Polymer Resin. This outdoor grade plastic is a lightweight, impact-resistant material that has significant UV and weather resistance built-in. We also blend an additional anti-UV package into the virgin material before injection molding. We guarantee these post caps for 5 years against impact or becoming brittle due to UV. Everyone has a style and aesthetic difference; however, we typically recommend the pyramid post caps for fences and the flat top caps to be used as deck post caps.

Our metal post caps are die-cast aluminum offered in plain and powder-coated options. We guarantee the finish on these caps for one year.

Yes, all of the plastic post caps can be painted, although we do not recommend painting as it does require some preparation. We recommend brands such as Krylon Fusion find helpful tips here painting tips The aluminum post caps can certainly be painted. We recommend Rustoleum brand spray paints however speaking with your local hardware store to determine the appropriate paint for your region and climate is recommended.

The 4x4 and 6x6 pyramid and flat tops of our post caps slide down the post 1.5", except on the 4x4 and 6x6 Slim profile models, which only slide down 3/4".

How wide are the post caps?
At their widest points (corner to corner) our post caps are as follows:
6x6 pyramids and Flat Post Caps (Nominal and Actual): 7.5" widest point
4x4 Post Caps (Nominal and Actual): 5.5" widest point
Slim Profile Post Caps (Nominal only):4x4- 4.5" widest point / 6x6-6.5" @widest point
